Pafos2017 A Year in Images
The publications attached are extremely important for Paphos. In this volume are included photos from the hundreds of events that took place in 2017, a landmark year for the city that bore the title of the European Capital of Culture.
This publication is about Pafos and its people, the artists and the audience that took part in or attended some of the events of the artistic programme of the European Capital of Culture throughout 2017. Out of thousands of photos taken, a few hundred were chosen to present the events of this important year for Paphos. Thousands of moments freeze in time and present the great and prestigious artistic events, as well as the smaller ones which are equally important. The images not only capture the action itself, the artists, the venues or the spectators, but also demonstrate the enthusiasm, the community involvement and the general atmosphere of each indi-vidual action.
The events in this publication have a narrative character, as the aim is to unfold the story of the European Capital of Culture Paphos2017, by going through the thematic lines of its programme of events and by recalling through photography the works, the creators and the objectives of the programme Open Air Factory of the Organisation Pafos2017.
